Description Chromogenic substrate used for the detection of beta-glucosidase activity. It is a highly useful non-inhibitory substrate which produces a black non-diffusible product upon hydrolysis by beta-glucosidase in the presence of iron.

To prevent deterioration, the product should be stored in tightly closed containers in a freezer or cold room at -20 degrees centigrade.
