Description A water-soluble, chromogenic substrate used for the detection of phosphatase activity that produces an insoluble green-blue coloured precipitate after hydrolysis when used under aerobic conditions. The substrate is very useful as a replacement for the water-insoluble and toxic p-toluidine salt form of X-Phosphate [CAS No. 6578-06-9].

To prevent deterioration, the product should be stored in tightly closed containers, under nitrogen, in a freezer or cold room at -20 degrees centigrade.
