| Description |
Chromogenic substrate used for the detection of beta-galactosidase activity, resulting in a blue-coloured precipitate following hydrolysis of the substrate when used under aerobic conditions. In addition to being used as a substrate for the detection of beta-galactosidase activity in bacterial colonies, the substrate has also been used as a histochemical substrate for the LacZ reporter gene. |
To prevent deterioration, the product should be stored in tightly closed containers, under nitrogen, in a freezer or cold room at -20 degrees centigrade.
